Today, I wanted to show some love and support for some of my favorite artist vendors. During this crazy time, I know local businesses can use all of the help they can get.
First up, artist, Marilyn Landers of Atlanta, Ga. She is so talented and I’m sharing a little bit about her today.
Her passion for art began at age 3 when she used her arsenal of crayons to enhance the color of brick grout on a friends front porch 🙂 She loved dance growing up and then spent years teaching dance. She studied under Gregory Johnson, a world renowned artist and launched her own decorative art business for 20 years. Learn more about her here and follow her on instagram here.
Next up, Farmer Sue, owner of The Art Barn. An artist of animals, nature and love! When you visit her farm, you get the whole farm experience. Guests get to hang out with all our furry friends in the barnyard (donkeys, sheep, goats, and chickens). And depending upon the event scheduled the kids get to do some spectacular farm art, a hayride and much more. They even offer pony rides. It’s an all around great time, with plenty of amazing photo opps, memories to be made and fun to be had by all. They even offer some virtual options and online educational membership now. Learn more here.
Now introducing, Rachel Vanetta Noyes of Nector Jewelry. You can find her here on facebookor follow her on instagram here.
She loves to design and create special, one-of-a-kind pendants or necklaces. When you commission her for a project, you will begin with a design consultation with sketches to follow. She helped me to rework my mother’s wedding ring into a stacked ring set that I just adore and am able to actually wear on all occasions.
Moving on to an artist of pattern design … Jessica Pierce is the girl next door who always keeps you laughing when you run into her around town. She likes to read, travel, play board games, and conquer the world while still getting the laundry washed (but probably not put away). She and her husband find time to enjoy life while raising six kids. 5oo4 is a dream come true and she LOVES seeing it grow!
She loves sewing, crafts, and getting to know all of the amazing people who have become part of the 5oo4 community. The idea of helping new sewists grow and conquer all of their own sewing dreams ignites a fire in her and gets her excited!
Now, I’d like to share some information on an artist of the skin. I just love relaxing with my friend Heather May of Healthicians, while she takes good care of my skin. She has so many wonderful natural products she loves and that makes me feel comfortable working with her. Not to mention, she is a wonderful client of mine. You can learn more about her business here.
Lastly, I’d like to share one of the make-up artists I love working with. She always adds the extra magic needed to make my clients swoon when they see the images from their session. I work with her on fashion and trend sessions as well as senior portrait and styled child sessions. She also has a way of doing natural and light make-up for many of my headshot sessions. Her name is Theresa Stone and she is the owner of Theresa Stone Make-up Artistry. She is always evolving to make certain she is ready for anything, whether she needs to adjust for a time period piece or something that needs to be on-point with the latest trends.
So glad you dropped by to learn about some of my favorite local artist today. There are so many more that I love, but I just can’t share them all.
And by chance, if you are looking to schedule a Spring Family Photography Session with Freckled Flower Photography, just contact [email protected] or click here.
